Now that exams and spring is on us, I think this manga is rather appropriate.

Kaze no Sylphid is a manga about a horse and a boy who face difficult circumstances but refused to be beaten by the odds. I was rather intrigued by this since this is the first time I saw horse racing as a genre in manga.

I have been sitting on this for a few weeks to see how it turns out. ^^

Moral of the story: It doesn’t matter what people think of you, as long as you have the will and determination to suceed, you will definitely find a way to achieve your goals in the end.

This manga gave me a very peaceful sort of feeling while reading it. The heroine is not a whiny brat, she is very independent and is not afraid to speak her mind. She does what she thinks she needs to do and does not care what people say.

The guy is a prince. And needless to say, cute^^.
However, he is not all looks, he is smart too. Plus he is not a stuck up brat who cares about money, rank and status.

These two meet and become good friends… you know what, I’m not going to give away the storyline. It spoils the feeling lol.

Hihi, to everyone who is reading this blog, here is a post to show that I am still alive.Wow I really have been busy for quite a while. This being the annoying period of time where all lecturers from every unit start piling assignments on you because they love torturing students like us just coincidentally scheduled major assignments at the same time.

Anyway the manga I will introduce today is somewhat similar to that of 07Ghost. That’s what struck me immediately as soon as I read the first volume. When I say similar, I do not mean in terms of storyline, but in some quirks… well, you will see what I mean when you read it for yourself… I will also try to further explain this as I go along.

I am so stuck on this song. Been listening to it on loop for like two whole days.

It has inspired me to look for the score. But after looking at the piano one (i can’t find one of electone ;_;) it has dampened my enthusiasm somewhat. Stupid chromatic scale._.

ah well. If i get time off in the holidays, i should try it. maybe. for now though, i am content to just listen ^^

Nuraihyon no Mago is a manga where there are no absolutes. The title literally means “Grandson of Nuraihyon”.

The summary from Mangatraders summarizes ONLY the first few chapters:

“Rikuo Nura, a kid that is 3/4 human and 1/4 youkai, lives in a house full of spirits/demons along with his grandfather. Trying to escape his fate of acting like a demon, he does good deeds in order to avoid becoming one. A mafia group claims land of his neighbour’s grandfather one day and now his neighbour is kidnapped?! What will Rikuo do?”

Rikou is just a little boy in human form…but when night comes, he turns into this totally cool demon. His good deeds around town eventually attract the interest of a few students and they form a demon fan club O_o which provides much comic relief. Read more »

You know, I always thought game music was like bleep and bloops. Until I heard orchestra versions of them.

Pure genuis.

I cannot even begin to tell you how awesome they are.

Eminence Orchestra is basically an orchestra that plays tracks from games and anime. I have their Echoes of War sitting on my desktop. It is a pity however, that I do not have more. If you ever wanted a reason to make people listen to classical music, this is it.

They are having another concert on 26th September 2009, which is called “A Night in Fantasia 2009″. Its held in Sydney though=\

This is simply a must watch.
It really brings a whole new meaning to the term cosplay.

Right, let me introduce myself. I am a friend of the author of this blog. That’s all you need to know. And yes, I’ll be writing under the misnomer of mikhail. How nice.
